During last Monday's hearing of the Congressional Task Force on the
Water Issue in BF, Congressman Amado Bagatsing, Chair of the said Task
Force, asked for the homeowners reactions to the proposed MOA re the
P10.00 / cu.m. ROW Toll Fee, which he happens to have a copy and waved
it for the attendees to take note.
At the said hearing, homeowners in attendance expressed their
collective rejection of the proposed ROW toll fee. Surprisingly, when
asked about it, BF Homes Acting President, Atty. Carmelo Mendoza, said,
in clear and no uncertain terms, that the idea DID NOT COME FROM BFHI.
After the hearing we requested Cong. Golez to request Cong.
Bagatsing for a copy of the said proposed MOA. Fortunately, our request
was granted. Attached is a scanned copy for your information.
A
quick read of the document revealed certain inconsistencies vis verbal
pronouncements. First, it appears that the P10/cu.m. ROW toll fee is
not limited to four years only, and second, there is nothing in there
that says that the costs of the water system will not be passed on to
the consumers as it is silent on who will pay for the water system.
