UBFHAI and the BF Homes Paranaque Subdivision
United BF Homeowners’
Associations, Inc. (UBFHAI) is the umbrella organization of all homeowners
associations in the BF Homes Parañaque Subdivision, a seven hundred sixty five
(765) hectare subdivision located in the south of Manila. It’s land area is so
huge that it is considered as the biggest subdivision in Asia. There are at least
10,800 households and 71,400 residents in the subdivision, predominantly middle
class. It’s so big that it straddles three cities (Paranaque, Las Pinas and
Muntinlupa) and has three Congressmen, one for each city. It’s even bigger than
some 4th and 5th class municipalities.
There are 76 homeowner associations
comprising UBFHAI grouped into 15 sectors. Each sector is entitled to one seat
in the Board of Directors. The homeowner associations elect among themselves a
sector chairman to represent the sector in the Board of Directors. From the 15
members of the Board, the officers of the organization are elected, namely, the
President, the Vice-President, the Corporate Secretary, the Treasurer, the
Auditor, and the Press Relation Officer.
The BF Homes Paranaque Subdivision
is a self-contained community. It has private schools (from pre-school to
college), churches, fast food and fine dining restaurants, a wet market,
shopping areas, supermarkets, gas stations, car repair shops, auto parts
stores, computer stores and maintenance shops, clothes stores, shoe stores,
barbershops, beauty shops / SPAs, sports and fitness centers, ballet and modern
dance schools, and emergency clinics. It has basketball, tennis and badminton
courts. You may not believe this but it even has polo fields (but no golf
course). It used to have a movie house and a 4-star hotel.
